Douglas Beasley Photography Brand Identity
Our good friend, Douglas Beasley, asked us to update his identity system and craft a short tagline that adequately captured the essence of his work. Doug’s photography is amazing and we were grateful to have such a gifted artist entrust us with this project.
Doug had already been using an Asian-inspired symbol that’s referred to as a chop or hanko. In contrast to rubber stamps, a chop is a stamp made of stone, wood or horn, which is engraved with the name of the institution or individual. Our design included optimizing this emblem for use across all modern media platforms.
The tagline we developed, "Earth Meets Spirit," is now being used as the basis for a number of Doug’s photography workshops as well as the title for his new book, shown below.
